Role Summary: The Sr. Software Security Architect will provide technical subject matter expertise for securing GE Oil & Gas’ Predix initiatives. Specifically, this role will involve design, creation, continuous enhancement, SecDevOps and approval of security controls for enterprise software solutions essential to both internal and external customers. The successful candidate will have the ability to articulate, design, and implement scalable security solutions in a distributed multi-node environment.
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Sr. Software Security Architect, you will:
Possess strong software skills using Python, nodejs, Java, and similar programming languages
Identify and quantify IOT security challenges and potential solutions
Partner closely with Predix development squads to ensure that cyber security is embedded at software development stage itself
Partner with multiple GE O&G and GE Digital team to architect technology solutions that automate cyber security controls for PaaS
Provide technical and full end to end project management for delivering cyber security controls for Predix applications
Promote and champion SecDevOps culture
Certified Predix developer or architect
Implement or lead implementation of security solutions addressing IOT requirements
Have an understanding of requirements management and user story development (Rally or similar tool)
Have working knowledge of security services including PKI, TLS, authentication services, fine grained access control, and network security services
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science and/or Software Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 6 years of experience in software product development and delivery using software development languages and frameworks such as Go, Python, Polymer, AngularJS, NodeJS, Scala, Java
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience developing RESTful micro-service based applications
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Cloud Foundry or other PaaS such as Heroku or Google App Engine
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Agile (Scrum or XP) and test & behavior driven development, continuous integration and version control (GitHub)
Understanding of requirements management and user story development (Rally or similar tool)
Experience with secure architectures, identity and access management principles, application security, encryption technologies, DNS, SOA, database and web applications
Experience with ethical hacking, intrusion detection / prevention technologies, secure coding practices and threat modeling
CISSP or CISM certified
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
Prior experience of architecting technical solutions for securing cloud environments (IaaS and PaaS)
Familiarity with cyber security frameworks such as ISO 27002, NIST
Proven ability to deliver while under tight timelines
Demonstrated ability to proactively analyze and solve complex problems
Excellent communication skills including both verbal and written
Proven ability to persuade and influence outcomes
