Role Summary: The Information Technology Team in Wales is the front line support for Hardware and software utilized by the business. In Wales SAP R3 is the Enterprise Resource Planning System that is utilized in almost all parts of the Operation. As the SAP Data Analytics Team Leader you will be responsible for owning the design, development and implementation of the Data Warehouse together with the design and data model for Business Intelligence reporting and analysis requirements across the organization
You will take the lead in initiatives to consolidate data from GE Aviation Wales with the global GE Aviation business. You will work closely with the Business teams to establish reporting strategies and best practice to support operational goals. You will work with the operations teams to ensure that existing reporting capabilities are fit for purpose and meeting business requirements.
You will also;
• Develop deep understanding of SAP structure and functionalities • Be the Master Data focal for SAP • Implement new Data Warehouse solution • Ensure compliance with export of data • Implement new reporting tools • Continually improve data quality in line with business requirements • Gather data in the most efficient manner possible to minimize the impact on ERP performance • Train users on self-serve reporting tools • Integrate data from SAP with global Data Warehouses / tools • Be the focal for the creation of complex business reports / dashboards • Mentor / Lead Analytics resources within IT or the wider business
• Strong experience on Full Cycle data warehousing (from requirement gathering, data modeling, architecting, designing, scheduling, developing and implementation) • Experience of designing and implementing reporting solutions for complex business operations as well as knowledge of relational databases, reporting and analytics technologies such as SAP BI, Cognos, SQL, etc. • Good understanding of the business modules in SAP • This role will involve working with senior stakeholders so you will have exceptional communications skills • Computer Science / IT Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience • Deep domain expertise in SAP Business Objects or similar • Demonstrated history of driving Continuous improvement • UK Resident or in possession of the required documentation to be able to work in the UK • Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements • Willing to be part of an on-call schedule if required
