Role Summary:
GE Power has launched a multi-year ERP program to get 3 of the largest business units – Power Services, Gas Power Systems and Steam Power Systems onto a single SAP ERP platform. The resulting ERP platform will be the largest in GE and will host approx. 40% of overall GE revenue with over 60,000 users. SAP is deployed in various locations with an aggressive plan to scale globally.

Essential Responsibilities:
As the Continuous Improvement – ERP Leader, you will:

  • Develop a standardized tool kit to assess performance of key sites and processes
  • Set up processes and practices within the business operations team to monitor, predict and improve the productivity at the specific sites
  • Drive improvement in the innovation process by injecting digitization in the wing to wing business processes
  • Adopt the concepts of lean methodologies like visual management within the shop floor, planning, logistics, etc. processes
  • Identify and utilize the lean tools to drive improvements in these processes
  • Outline key dependencies in these process and functions and develop systemic processes and tools to insure smooth business operations and data flow in between these processes
  • Leverage solutions within the SAP ERP platform to drive business improvements
  • Make an impact at the granular or the grass root level and develop methodologies to scale out these improvements globally
  • Develop a culture of innovation by identifying new generation SAP tools enhance user experience, productivity and business outcomes
  • Leverage industry best practices and solutions within SAP to drive better system usage and optimization
  • Operate in an Operations model, teaming with on-going program deployment teams, ensuring new applications and releases comply with standards and best practices that are optimized for supportability



Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, Finance or other technical related fields (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum 6 years of relevant work experience)
  • Minimum 10 years of overall experience in Information Technology delivering high impact technology solutions
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in applications development and/or operational environments

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability and willingness to travel, as required
  • Ability and willingness to work out of an office located in Atlanta, GA


Desired Characteristics:
  • At least 5-10 years experience in driving lean digitization in fortune 500 companies
  • Proven expertise and leadership in driving large scale SAP ERP programs with hands on experience in one or more SAP modules
  • Demonstrated ability to establish operational performance metrics and drive continuous efficiencies and improvements for systems, processes, and resources
  • Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong customer relationships, creates processes with customer viewpoint and partners with customers to help shape their future initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in project or program management
  • Dynamic leader & strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and strong problem solving skills - communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions
  • Experience working across multiple functions and with global resources
  • Six Sigma certificated or equivalent Quality certification
  • Strong ability to identify, recruit & develop both seasoned and junior IT talent
  • Experience leading both local and remote (international) resources
  • Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activities
