The deal will be subject to customary closing conditions such as regulatory review and appropriate consultation and we expect this to be complete by mid-2017. Water & Process Technologies will operate business as usual through this process and will continue to meet its commitments to its valued customers and employees. Role Summary: The Global Income Statement FP&A Leader will own all Income Statement forecasting, reporting, and analytics for the global Water business with emphasis on leading our Blueprint process and profitability and growth analytics.
Essential Responsibilities: The Global Income Statement FP&A Leader will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to affect short-term and some long-term business goals.
In addition, you will:
Identify and drive significant, broad initiatives designed to improve business financial performance
Be responsible for quarterly pacing of orders, revenue, CM, base cost, op profit and net income generation during the quarter
Lead communications and build collaborative relationships with Power FP&A
Own and lead the wing-to-wing global Blueprint process from data generation, digitization and submission through to senior level presentation and communication
Provide business-wide level inputs to the Business Intelligence Group (BIG) in operationalizing NxGen reporting, analytics, and forecasting vision in conjunction with the Business Intelligence Group (BIG)
Project manage and complete implementation of the NxGen Income Statement report; ensure continuous user feedback and enhancements to ensure complete global adoption
Engage and own closing and reporting with the process and analytics leads under BIG
Partner with Tax and Controllership on Income forecasting and reporting to ensure alignment
Lead and support in ERP structure strategy and design changes to ensure business reporting /analytic needs are met and Enterprise Standards compliance is achieved
Lead and support continued process integration with Power and Enterprise Standards reporting requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a financial leadership position
Master’s Degree in Business Administration from an accredited college or university
GE Financial Management Program graduate ( GE employees only)
GE Corporate Audit Staff experience ( GE employees only)
Knowledge of accounting policy and practices
Established analytical and reporting ability
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
