Role Summary:
Responsible for operational engineering of service(s). Contributes to the team and works with direction from Senior Team Members or management, beginning to work independently.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Has the ability to take ownership of small tasks and deliver without supervision while using their discretion to seek help when necessary.
  • Demonstrate the ability to help team members through pair programming and code reviews
  • Has the ability to evaluate basic technology choices and articulate tradeoffs
  • Applies principles of SDLC and Lean/Agile/XP/TDD/CI/CD methodologies to deliver high quality, secured, and scalable software services
  • Skilled in writing code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
  • Skilled in core data structures and algorithms and implements them using language of choice
  • Understands operating systems and networks and the tools used to diagnose problems and validate solutions
  • Participate in on call rotation

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) OR in lieu of a Degree have a High School Diploma and equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the industry

    Eligibility Requirements

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Understanding of different technology stacks and monitoring applications
  • Knowledge in managing & deploying various monitoring solutions- New Relic, HP BSM/BPM, Zabbix, Apica
  • Hands on web/JS scripting expertise
  • Operational knowledge of Windows, Linux, .NET, Java, other platforms
  • Project Management skills
  • Knowledge of change management and version control
  • Flexible, continuous learner and knowledge sharer
  • Excellent communicator, works well in team environment, appreciates challenges.
  • Comfortable and effective working in new areas that require experimentation and rapid problem solving
