Role Summary: Partner with our site plant leader and broader IT teams to ensure stable shop operations, lead and support IT-side SAP implementations, Brilliant Factory/Digital Thread solutions and advance analytics for improved productivity. Responsible for site IT infrastructure, technology and security roadmap in line with GE Aviation and GE Corporate strategies. Lead the site IT program, application implementations, upgrades and ensuring to use limited resources and funding for optimal IT program outcome.
Essential Responsibilities: The Senior Manager, Digital Operation demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. You will also ensure the successful, end-to-end delivery of a product, program or project through upfront client engagement, contribute to a variety of functions in the program management domain including delivery of multiple products, product areas, or platforms, management of issues, roadblocks, dependencies, overlaps, over-scopes, and communication management and influence direction of technical solutions within broader technical space / service / product strategy. You will partners with cross-functional teams and cross-business teams to develop comprehensive solutions and drive adoption and manage a small team of IT professionals and communicates well with subject matter experts, and be a hands-on SME yourself.
· Serve as the leader of business solutions projects in support of assigned applications area · Develop, sell, and implement comprehensive project plans, beginning with project team structure and resource assignment, and ending with a control plan identifying both business process metrics and IT platform quality requirements · Identify critical path decisions, make recommendations and influence program leaders and business process owners to maximize project payback · Manage daily activities, issue resolution and communication across project execution teams in order to deliver projects on-time, on-budget, as-requested by customer · Ensure conformance of established architecture, standards and practices · Lead the analysis, requirement development, design, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of large/complex IT solutions for business processes · Work as a business partner with client leaders and users to evaluate / improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions for business processes · Support, advise, assist, guide, and resolve problems for client leaders · Initiate direct communication with wide range of customer, client, supplier, and systems personnel · Lead in the evaluation/implementation of third party software solutions · Initiate and coordinate outsourced supplier efforts as required · Prepare, present and review project plans, status reports, cost / benefit studies, and recommend funding and resources · Ensure conformance to system architecture, methods standards and practices and participate in their creation · Participate in the preparation of long-range systems plans and assure that they are in concert with business objectives and goals · Stay current with emerging technologies and promote their use
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering • At least 5 additional years of experience with current information technologies and their influence on business functions • Strong experience in IT Project / Program Management & leadership skills are essential. • Experience and knowledge of IT infrastructure, ITIL processes and be savvy about information technologies. • Understanding or Passionate about Internet of Things (IoT) & Industrial Internet business is good to have. • Experience with ERP implementations and manufacturing shop (MRO) execution systems is a plus.
Desired Characteristics: • Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering/manufacturing/financial tools and systems. • Demonstrated experience working with a matrix organization of a global company. • IT Operations in terms of well connected network and has understanding of the IoT markets. • Good interpersonal skills.
