Role Summary: In this role, you will utilize a broad set of highly technical skillsets to design and drive the implementation of innovative IT solutions across a diverse range of infrastructure platforms. This role will serve as a subject matter expert for the implementation of GE Digital compute products. This role will partner closely with the GE Business, Engineering and Risk and Compliance teams
Provide technical and architectural designs for server solutions including hardware/software evaluations and server infrastructure design
Gather, review & map business requirements to GE Digital standard offerings and make recommendations back to business teams, providing documentation and quotes
Use best-practice designs to ensure we meet business expectations and meet solution delivery dates
Effectively use teamwork skills to interact and collaborate to resolve architecture, enterprise and/or Integration, issues, including comparing alternative approaches
Provide deep SW / HW technical architecture feedback to our product management teams to ensure proper solution design
Maintain and apply current knowledge of information technology; keep abreast of new and emerging technologies; make technology, process, and application recommendations that can be used to lower costs, increase performance, and add value to the customer
Demonstrate an ongoing ability to work in a fast paced Agile environment and be able to present contributions in a group environment
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering
Minimum 2 years of experience with server technology, architecture and systems engineering methodology either academically or professionally

Experience with Solaris/Linux/ESX/Windows servers and clustering technology. Deep understanding of the technology stack to include OS, DB, middleware, application layer, virtualization and cloud technologies and security best practices
Excellent track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activities
Current scripting/development experience with Ruby, Powershell, Unix shell scripting.
Experience configuring and supporting Cloud computing architectures (AWS, MS Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)
Ability to effectively communicate and work with a global team including GE employees, contractors and customers
Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint
