Role Summary:
Responsible for the collection of learning assets based on modalities, management and publishing of assets and archiving. This role will interface with Global Services Training & Documentation, Global Learning Strategy & Technology, Instructional Designers, Program Managers and stakeholders to source and package learning and performance support assets that ensures compliance and excellent customer service as well as promotes career growth for Field Engineers, Channel Partners and Customers.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Sourcing, packaging and organizing relevant learning assets to expand and improve learning and provide performance support resources.
• Sift out valuable content from training and present it to learners in a meaningful way.
• Maintaining records and cataloguing assets with accurate meta-tagging.
• Researching, compiling and preparing written documentation regarding content and publishing it on GE’s websites and/or performance support platforms.
• Collaborating with all modalities, Instructional Designers, Global Learning Strategy & Technology personnel, Global Documentation personnel and Modality Program Managers.
• Administrator for digital asset management system.
• Control point for digital assets, users, metadata, permission structure, and other administrative responsibilities.
• Liaison with other internal departments and external affiliates to everything digital asset management related.
• Ensuring that learning assets are properly maintained and regularly updated.
• Works with manager and teams to recognize needs and identify priorities for provision of content, videos, simulations, job aids and links to other portals.
• Track and report on site metrics and regularly report on the effectiveness of content.
• Help determine standards and guidelines both for what makes quality content, and how to present it well.
• Manage the content approval process.
• Leads team initiatives and brainstorming sessions as required.

Qualifications/Requirements:
1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
3. Identify and report any and all customer quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization.
4. Identify and report any personal quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization.
5. Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Communication, Engineering, Business, or Library Science and 4+ years of experience developing and/or delivering technical training, or Associates Degree and 6+ years related experience.

• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, progressive, and transformational environment.
• Tech-savvy and interested in working on performance support tools.
• Ability to effectively interact with engineers and comprehend highly technical content.
• Excellent time and project management skills, including the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with shifting priorities and fluctuating deadlines.
• Proven excellence in written and verbal communication.
• Prompt and studious professional with a desire to contribute to organizational success.
• Ability to distill information into more simplistic format where only the most important or relevant ideas are shared.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 15%.

Desired Characteristics:
• Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field.
• Skilled in training resource management, content library best-practices and supporting content management system meta-tagging requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of working with databases and IT issues
• Excellent team working skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
