Role Summary: The Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Warehouse Specialist you will:
Develop production schedule to meet customer demands, drive material requirements, and proactively set levels of manufacturing output
Communicate across multiple departments to effectively coordinate operations between manufacturing production and sales
Coordinate with Lead Operators to convert planned orders to process orders
Review the SAP report and coordinate with Customer Service to ensure customers’ expectations are met with respect to package and bulk orders
Create weekly metric charts and focus on metrics in order to meet delivery performance targets
Coordinate with Material Planner and Lead Operators to ensure appropriate raw material is in stock; minimize QC hold, blend off, and return material
Support commercial team in quoting and managing of parts
Manage daily and long range scheduling while maintaining productivity cost controls
Provide direction for a variety of warehouse and logistics services and activities required to include primary contact for customer service regarding special requests and order status
Provide leadership to employees engaged in material handling and directing daily priorities ensuring on time delivery for customer orders
Ensure proper transactions are executed throughout the process to drive inventory integrity
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum 7 years of experience in traffic, warehousing, planning or manufacturing role
Minimum 3 years of experience in traffic, warehouse, planning or manufacturing role
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from an accredited college or university
Prior experience in warehouse management and planning is preferred
Knowledge of systems operations, data entry, processing / output
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task
Knowledge of SAP
PC proficiency including Microsoft Office and databases
Strong customer mindset
Six Sigma training or equivalent Quality training
Ability to coordinate workflow through the production cell
Ability to work directly with vendors and suppliers to obtain services or products in expected timeframe
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
