Role Summary: The Reliability Engineer will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will focus on increasing equipment reliability by improving Mean Time between Failures (MTBF) of industrial equipment, reducing equipment downtime and manufacturing costs, integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, and be involved in long-term planning
Specify appropriate Preventive Maintenance (PM's) / Predictive Maintenance (PdM's) based on Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Provide Maintenance Functional input to new Equipment Purchase Specifications to ensure adequacy
Provide Maintenance Functional input to new facility Design Reviews
Participate Pre-Start-Up-Safety-Reviews to ensure safe commissioning and system start-up
Participate in specifying on-site maintenance and repair capability and tooling requiremenets.
Perform equipment reliability analysis and recommends improvements based on Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) findings
Establish critical equipment spares
Conduct RCFA on failed equipment / components and improves life expectancy using RCFA findings
Recommend equipment reliability improvements by doing analysis of equipment trends, historical, and field data
Own the Mechanical Integrity (MI) and Quality Assurance (QA) portion of Process Safety Management (PSM) program on site
Provide technical support (QA/QC, installation and start-up) for all new equipment installations
Plant Champion to promote Reliability Principles, Precision Maintenance, and Condition Monitoring
Bachelor's Degree Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in reliability improvements
Ability and willingness to relocate within 1 year to Huntsville, AL
Ability and willigness to travel extensively to Newark, DE

Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
Predictive Maintenance Technologies as: Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, Non-Destructive Testing, Thermography, Ultrasound, Motor Circuit Analysis, etc.
5 years of working experience with Process Safety Management (PSM)
Prior with statistical software experience (minitab)
Experience with Equipment Life Cycle Cost
Strong technical, analytical, and diagnostic skills
Strong project management skills
Six Sigma training or equivalent Quality training
Ability to deal effectively with complex, ambiguous, and contradictory alternatives
Ability to work well with teams of diverse people, diverse ideas, in a cross-functional team environment
Strong oral and written communication skills; Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Prior experience working in a Chemical Plant environment.
