Role Summary: The professionals selected will be part of a cutting-edge leadership prgm designed to develop & accelerate the next gen of Digital Executives through multi-year prgm. Program members are key in building GE’s SW architecture capabilities and graduates will advance into significant SW leadership roles. Key Program Highlights
Provide a multi-year leadership program experience with assignments, projects, & classroom seminars tied to GE’s key software initiatives & personalized coaching & development based on technical & leadership areas Training
Attend two GE Digital Academies per year focused on technical, commercial, & leadership skill build-out Projects
Work in cross-functional teams tied to GE’s strategic initiatives
Action learning related to innovative new products and platforms Personalized Development
Exposure to GE Senior Leadership & software peers across the Company
Customized individual development plan supported with personal coaching
Assist in programs to develop, maintain & govern the enterprise architecture across the organization
Operate as an expert who leads, consults or oversees multiple architectural projects
Work on highly-complex projects that require in-depth knowledge within a domain: technical, solutions, business or information Strategy
Help lead and coordinate the domain & business discussions relative to future architecture direction
Participate in enterprise strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases and business innovation portfolio development
Contribute to the SW development strategy as applicable and ensures alignment with architectural strategy & business goals Roadmap
Analyze, design, & develop a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current v. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint
Define principles that guide technology decisions & the relationship between enterprise business context (industry & market trends) and specified technology Customer CTQs
Promote the EA process, outcomes & results Compatibility
Ensure compatibility with existing solutions, infrastructure, services, & strategic requirements
Manage the design of enterprise-wide initiatives to integrate systems Consulting
Participate in quality reviews & provides feedback
Advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts, & technology priorities
Work with business leaders to understand business requirements & help them understand how technology tradeoffs influence strategy
Consult on application or infrastructure development projects to fit systems or infrastructure to the technical architecture, & identify when it is necessary to modify the technical/solution architecture to accommodate project needs Leadership/Agile
