Role Summary: The Warehouse Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts. Coordinates activities in expediting flow of material, parts, and assemblies between areas of production. Responsible for cycle counting raw materials, inventory accuracy and organization of warehouse to satisfactory GE standards at a minimum.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Warehouse Supervisor you will:
Receive, classify, and stock incoming goods and inventory of approximately $6 million in raw materials. This includes Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) updating, managing stocking conditions, and knowing what is where
Resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent
Work together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues
Communicate with direct team and supervisor
Present to internal teams on metrics, project status and research
Associate's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
Ability and willingness to work day-shift in a warehouse environment
Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends as necessary for the business
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
Critical to be familiar with warehouse activities and inventory management that include cycle counts, receipt of materials, pick and store
EHS and Warehouse Safety focus is essential
Will also be responsible for inputs and accuracy of SAP (ERP) data relating to warehouse management, variance reports, transfers to inter-departments, back-flush and pick list inventory into SAP accurately
Knowledge of other functional areas within the organization
Knowledge of the domestic environment
