Essential Responsibilities: • Responsible for interfacing with all GE businesses and plants in China to identify the biggest needs and opportunities around using manufacturing analytics with data science for manufacturing process optimization and improvement • Work with GE plants and R&D teams to define analytics solution requirements and project success metrics and develop solution approaches and generate project proposals • Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced manufacturing factory information systems and technical solutions using the latest sensors, control systems, software, and analytics • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables • Responsible for o Brilliant factory development and implementation at GE plants using latest GE cloud-based platform Predix and advanced manufacturing analytics tools and software o Brilliant factory architecture build-up, project scope definition, and execution management o Deployment of brilliant factory initiative and its integration with existing systems. o Shop operation optimization opportunity identification by working with shop AME and leaders
• Grow technical talent and competency of advanced manufacturing engineers (AME) across GE China, through training, creation of process standards and through technical support. • Support NPI’s with design for manufacturing, drawing and process/tooling reviews as part of program milestones. • Represent GE China to interact with Customers, Government and Academia through tours, training and collaboration, build partnership working mechanism with government and external industrials, identify external manufacturing technology to deliver productivity and enable better new product designs
Qualifications/Requirements: • M.S. Degree or Above in Computer Science/Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university • 5+ years of experience in software analytics, manufacturing, operations, automation design and implementation in an industrial setting • Knowledge and Experience in data science and software analytics – o Advanced Spotfire Knowledge o Advanced SQL Knowledge o Advanced R knowledge o SPC o Advanced Database Administration o Data warehouse creation and management o Data architecture o Data Science • Experience in Manufacturing IT Infrastructure • Demonstrated clear thinking, inclusiveness and collaboration skills • Creative problem solver and process oriented • Motivated by quality, cost and speed. - High energy with passion for excellence - Demonstrated ability to set and achieve aggressive goals and targets - Embrace change and technology evolution as an opportunity • Self-starter, independent thinker, proactive problem solver. • Strong environmental, health and safety ethics. • Fluent oral and written communication in English & Chinese.
