Role Summary:
You’ll focus on the database portion of the design, implementation, and maintenance of industry-leading software applications used by physicians and clinical staff in ambulatory care settings. Your technical experience and creativity will help drive the integration and evolution of our software products and support the vision of the all-digital healthcare enterprise.

Essential Responsibilities:
You’ll be part of a development & maintenance team that is responsible for Revenue Cycle & Electronic Medical Records products. You will extend and enhance established products written in C++/MFC and C# for Microsoft Windows platforms, utilizing Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases.

Your job responsibilities will include:
•Working in cross-functional project teams that include Development, Marketing, Software Quality Assurance, Customer Learning, Usability, and Support
•Developing detailed functional specifications, design documents, and test plans
•Implementing well-documented, testable, and high quality code
• Repairing defects and maintaining existing products
•Participating in program and project team meetings
•Communicating with other teams to better understand their needs and concerns

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
• 5+ years of professional experience in Oracle or SQL, including relational database modeling/design OR Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in Oracle or SQL, including relational database modeling/design OR PhD with 1 year of experience in Oracle or SQL, including relational database modeling/design

Desired Characteristics:
• Skilled in relational database modeling and/or design with Oracle and SQL Server
• Experience in Azure, Hadoop or other Big Data technologies
• Experience with Data Modelling for enterprise applications
• Working knowledge of Interface formats, such as HL7 and IHE
• Development experience with Microsoft .NET Framework and C#
• Experience with Multi-tier application design/development
• Experience working on projects developed and tested iteratively (Agile/Scrum experience a plus)
• Expert-level experience in writing SQL queries
• Expert-level experience with stored procedures and triggers
• Hands-on experience on Oracle and SQL Server database administration and optimization
• Hands-on experience on Oracle database and SQL Server installation and data migration (DBA experience a plus)
• An understanding of the software product development life-cycle
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with a global team
• A passionate, high-energy individual who is a self-starter
