Role Summary: EEDP is an intensive program for people who have a passion for technology, a drive for technical excellence, and share in GE's core values. The program is designed to accelerate participants' professional development through intense technical training and a variety of business-critical assignments. Essential Responsibilities: GE Oil & Gas (www.ge.com/oilandgas) is a world leader in advanced technology equipment and services for all segments of the oil and gas industry, from drilling and production, LNG, pipelines and storage to industrial power generation, refining and petrochemicals. Through our Measurement & Control division we provide solutions to maximize the economic performance of its customers' operating assets through innovative and advanced measurement, sensor-based and inspection technologies, data collection, information management, decision support and control expertise. Its portfolio includes products that lead in delivering accuracy, productivity, safety, and bottom-line benefits to customers in many industries, including oil & gas, power generation, aerospace, transportation and healthcare. EEDP is a two- to three-year entry-level program consisting of three or more rotational assignments. Rotational assignments are engineering projects driven by real GE business priorities. The program cultivates technical problem-solving skills via advanced engineering coursework, formal reports and presentations to senior leadership, in addition to valuable work experience. Participants have the opportunity to earn credit towards an M.S. degree in engineering and technology.

In Oil & Gas, the EEDP consists of a 2-3 year entry level technical development program entailing 3 rotational assignments, driven by business priorities. Individuals joining the program will be based in Minden, NV or Austin Texas GE Oil & Gas has its Measurement and Control hubs with a scope of business including temperature, pressure & infrared sensors; Reuter Stokes detectors and instrumentation; Bently Nevada monitoring and machinery diagnostics.
Possible locations: Houston, Tx; Billerica, MA; Minden,NV; Oklahoma City, OK; Jacksonville, Fl.
Qualifications/Requirements: -BS or MS degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited university, or 4 years equivalent technical experience. -GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0 overall.
Desired Characteristics: -Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in design engineering or manufacturing. -Strong commitment to a career in technology and a passion for engineering. -Demonstrated an analytic approach to problem solving. -Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms. -Strong team skills with demonstrated leadership skills. -Knowledge of advanced mathematics, including but not exclusively limited to calculus and differential equation. -Willingness to relocate while on program. -Self-confident team player with a competitive spirit to excel
