GE announced they signed a definitive agreement to sell the Water & Process Technologies business to SUEZ, a services and solutions company with global operations primarily in water and waste management. The deal will be subject to customary closing conditions such as regulatory review and appropriate consultation and we expect this to be complete by mid-2017. Water & Process Technologies will operate business as usual through this process and will continue to meet its commitments to its valued customers and employees. This includes hiring strong talent to help the business grow and be successful. GE is targeting to complete the sale of the business by mid-2017.

Role Summary:
The HQ Cost Finance Manager will manage the global cost budgets for HQ functions. This critical role is to provide key support to the HQ leadership in forecasting, monitoring cost performance and analyzing variance drivers, while proactively engaging in cost out opportunities, and providing timely reports, analysis and visibility to track cost commitments.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of HQ Cost Finance Manager t, you will:


  • Lead forecasting during different planning cycles for HQ functions, creating annual budgets to manage Operating Expenses and investment requirements
  • Drive planning framework, utilizing deep understanding of cost drivers, project & investment commitments, to drive short and medium term forecasting and trends
  • Assist with communication and reporting of financial targets and updates on monthly performance to functional leaders
  • Provide insight of key cost trends, and future commitments, to articulate the risks and opportunities versus plan spend
  • Have a creative mindset, to drive digitization of the analytics, and forecasting using business visualization tools (Tableau)
  • Participate and initiate process improvement plans to drive data quality and timely reporting capabilities. Lead cross functional ad hoc projects
  • Support monthly and quarterly closing and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy of monthly / quarterly financials & timely KPI (Key Performance Indicators) reporting and variances to plans.
  • Bring a strong finance background and process mindset – working flexibly and effectively with a diverse group of cross-functional stakeholders
  • Expand SAP, Tableau, and accounting expertise


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics from an accredited university or college (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in finance)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience across operational / commercial finance, FP&A (Financial, Planning & Analysis) and/or systems implementation
