Role Summary: This role will be part of the ERP Initiatives & Strategy group's Data COE. As Data Analyst, you will be responsible for leading, designing & developing data quality & conversion solutions to support implementation of strategic ERP deployments for various GE Businesses. You will work with data leaders & functional data stewards from multiple businesses to articulate functional requirements and technically execute the solution for data migration / quality projects.
Essential Responsibilities: Design & develop solutions using standard data migration methodology & tool-set for data extraction, mapping, scoping, transformation, validation & loads. Technically lead the team of developers driving on-time and quality project deliverable. Lead & own a function module independently. Participate and support data mappings working with functional champions & IT teams. Partner with functional teams to identify and execute on opportunities for data quality improvements, enhancements, standardization and simplification. Develop, document, pull together, and maintain data quality goals and standards. Monitor compliance of information flows and data stores against data quality standards & methodology. Identify areas for data quality improvement and help to resolve data quality problems through appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies. Measure and report to management on the progress of the project & data quality improvement. Coach & guide team members on functional understanding & technical execution. Drive problem management and establish knowledge repository. Support project management methodology: tollgate reviews, design reviews, code reviews, detailed functional specifications, UI Specification, detailed technical design documents and risk assessments. Leverage Data Quality CoE templates, tool-kits, best practices and CoE strategies in project deliverable. Creation of unit test plans and performing unit testing.
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management or other technical / IT field, and a minimum 5 years of relevant IT work experience. Data Quality tool experience - Cransoft/DSP Tool or any other ETL/MDM tool. Strong programming skills & DBMS concepts. Experience in MS SQL Server/Oracle SQL programming. ERP Data Migration experience. Experience working in a global environment with offshore/onshore teams. Strong analytical skills, oral & written communication skills. Analytic, creative and business-focused problem solver. Effective stakeholder management - Must be able to work across multiple GE businesses and functions, setting expectations with stakeholders/internal customers and delivering on them.
Desired Characteristics: Experience/exposure of ERP implementation. Knowledge of Oracle R12, SAP or any other ERP applications. SQL, PL/SQL, Cognos, Informatica, Unix. Green Belt certification. #DTR
