Role Summary:
Responsible for designing, developing and testing software to create industrial internet products and services tailored to the needs of GE Aviation and external customers. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, data science, and operational teams to onboard analytics on existing and new platforms.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high performing, scaling, and innovative software
  • Collaborate with system engineers, front end engineers, and other software engineers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions
  • Understand performance parameters and assess application performance
  • Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies such as Lean/Agile, software and product security, scalability, documentation practices, refactoring, and testing techniques
  • Ensure conformance to GE Aviation software methods, standards, and practices


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and implementation of software applications.


Desired Characteristics:
  • Technical expertise in Java and webservices.
  • Technical skills on Spring, OOP (object-oriented programming), Eclispe, and Maven.
  • Knowledge on application frameworks and relational database systems.
  • Exposure to an Agile environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
