Role Summary: The Communications Leader will own all Business, Culture and Organization communication for the Energy Connections business in the region, driving an integrated business communication strategy fully aligned with the central teams. This role will own, develop and execute a wide variety of communications projects that support the strategic and operating goals of the business in the region with both internal and external customers
Essential Responsibilities: - Lead all culture and organizational communication to management, employees and other internal stakeholders to help achieve business objectives. Prepare, edit, publish and distribute compelling, relevant communications on a timely, cost effective basis. In charge of localizing messaging, organizing local translations and proof-reading as needs - Integration related communication - Prepare, integrate and implement communication plans for key global business initiatives across the region ensuring they are localized/translated for the region. - Partner with EC and P&L communications teams to ensure we are supporting teams’ goals in the region. - Build a business communications plan aligned with overall Asia communication strategy & global EC business priorities - Partner at a strategic and tactical level with the GGO regional Communications team & business Marketing for external business communication - including branding, brochures, product data sheets, collateral, executive presentations, advertising, promotions, public relations, trade shows, technical seminars, and customer events - Work with the central/GGO media team to ensure aligned messages and positioning internally & externally. Own the business messages and priorities and align with the regional calendar and plan. - Support press and investor relations team in relevant communications to media, shareholders and stock exchanges as per statutory guidelines. Includes press relations, media releases, investor event, etc. - Lead on crisis communications for EC in the region.
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university Minimum 10 years of experience in communications (writing, graphics, production, special events, tradeshows, marcom. etc) Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role Good command of both Mandarin Chinese and English
Desired Characteristics: Degree in Communications/MBA Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of organization Strong leadership / influence and ability to work effectively in matrix organization Customer centric mindset Experience in the energy/ power industry with good understanding of the sector Ability to work in matrix organization with multiple stakeholders Stand-alone role so ability to work on own but knows how to leverage the shared function A good team player
