Role Summary: The Lead Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes in the area of Electromagnetic computational methods and codes. Participate in SMPE (Special Military Products Engineering) teams. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
In addition you will :
Execute with minimal guidance the Electromagnetic computational methods and codes activities required to define and support the assigned Special Military Products Inlet / Exhaust components / systems that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirement
Provide EM computational methods leadership to personnel supporting assigned projects
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
Participate on cross functional teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited university or college
A minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering position
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :
Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a US Department of Defense Security Clearance
MS / PhD in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college
Significant experience in computational EM codes and methods used for signature predictions
In depth understanding of numerical methods with focus on integral equations and partial differential equation methods
Demonstrated computer programming skills in C++, FORTRAN, and parallel computers
Knowledge of linear algebra for developing equation solvers and understanding of optimization methods
Solid oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
PC / Workstation computations proficiency
