Role Summary:
The Lean Leader demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Essential Responsibilities:
In this role you will:
  • Focus on projects/process improvement to ensure that processes and products are designed with appropriate quality measurement systems, minimizing risk of poor quality (eg-Master Black Belt and Black Belt)
  • Lead improvement projects with a goal of enhanced performance
  • Drive lean manufacturing activities and ensure progress while tracking project status and closure
  • Develop and coordinate lean manufacturing training and education
  • Leverage best practice strategies and drive consistencies across sites when applicable
  • Create the lean vision and implement a lean strategy to reduce cycle time, inventory, and waste
  • Drive measurable improvements in process flow · Assist in lean plan execution by leading Action Work-Outs (AWO’s), training personnel and other activities to achieve world-class process flow
  • Serve as division focal point for business wide lean Six Sigma initiatives
  • Guide functional teams in developing and executing lean plans to reduce cycle time, inventory, and waste to improve process quality and create capacity
  • Promote Six Sigma/Lean integration utilizing the strength of both methods to achieve world-class business goals
  • Assist functional managers in establishing a process flow
  • Encourage use of lean tools to pull material from internal sources/customers
  • Applies existing technologies, approaches, methodologies in new combinations to design new products, systems or processes, as well as remains current on lean methodologies and trains division on lean concepts and mentor people using lean tools
  • Presents projects plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders (EB and SEB) within technical space and occasionally to senior leaders in partner technical teams · Communicates solutions across the own function and with cross-functional partner organizations

    Viewed internally and externally as a specialist in the discipline

    Role will require certification (successful candidate can be in process), Lean Six Sigma (BB / MBB).

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Process Improvement
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
