Role Summary: The Project Engineer reports to the GE Digital Solutions (DS) Condition Monitoring Engineering Manager and has primary responsibilities to design systems and hardware in compliance with the applicable engineering standards and specifications.
Essential Responsibilities: The Project Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for the DS business. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
• DS Technology single point of contact for Condition Monitoring System (CMS) project. For larger multi-packages project, the Project Engineer will form part of the technical team to fulfill the project requirements • Responsible for adherence to established Quality Management System procedures and compliance to technical regulation and project specification • Support the project team in technical scope discussion during project kickoff meetings • Responsible for designing and coordinating integration of the solution, including software, cybersecurity, electrical and hardware panel design • Document technical data generated to be consistent with engineering policies and procedures • Participate as a presenter in technical reviews • Support the technical scope for Factory Acceptance Testing • Provide technical input for engineering change orders • Assure project execution is in accordance with the budgeted cost allocations, timeliness and engineering standards • Provide support to customer issues resolution and implement process for engineering productivity improvements
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or equivalent with 1-5 years of condition monitoring system or instrumentation experience. Fresh graduates with good academic will be considered • Willingness to travel 5-10% of the time
