Role Summary:
Leads and executes stable operations in a highly dynamic PeopleSoft environment with multiple enterprise applications including critical Pay, Benefits & CRM. Ensures adherence to process, security, audit and compliance standards. Applies creativity and technical savvy to achieve operational and technical excellence

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Develop deep expertise in complex production operations involving multiple applications, systems, processes and teams
  • Apply creativity and cutting-edge PeopleSoft technology knowhow to ensure error free, timely, secure and compliant delivery of critical services thru the PeopleSoft applications
  • Partner with various infrastructure, database and web technologies teams to ensure incidents are remediated with urgency. Work with them to implement solutions that prevent reoccurrence
  • Ensure conformance of established standard operating procedures, DR drills, internal and external audits, Segregation of Duties and other compliance requirements
  • Develop new tools and processes and improve existing ones for maintaining operations and improving productivity of the team
  • Partner with the larger PeopleSoft Technologies team to ensure clear visibility, planning and handoffs of all application and infrastructure changes
  • Partner with extended teams to ensure all aspects of production tech-stack is at current/supported version/model
  • Partner with the larger PeopleSoft Technologies team to layout short term and long term technology strategy and execute on the strategy
  • Develop metrics for measuring performance and operational excellence and report out to leadership periodically
  • Work as a partner in the analysis, requirement development, design, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of large/complex application and hardware changes and upgrades
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans to ensure error-free project implementations and stable operations
  • Support, advise, assist, guide, and resolve problems for business clients
  • Initiate direct communication with wide range of customer, client, supplier, and systems personnel
  • Prepare, present and review project plans, status reports, cost/benefit studies, and recommend funding and resources
  • Participate in the preparation of long-range systems plans and assure that they are in concert with business objectives and goals
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies and promote their use

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of total experience in Information technology
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in all phases of supporting operations in a large ERP environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in PeopleSoft technologies in any technical role

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Strong grasp of security, compliance, audit, risk and segregation of duties concepts in context of supporting a critical large ERP production environment.
  • Ability to triage and troubleshoot operational issues
  • Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Deep technical understanding of PeopleSoft architecture, tools, administration and support software
  • Expertise in installing, configuring, tuning, troubleshooting, upgrading all aspects of PeopleSoft infrastructure including webserver, appserver, process scheduler, IB, SOA, etc
  • Deep expertise in AutoSys scheduling software
  • Understanding of Web server load balancing & reverse proxy to work with various teams for proper load balancing and high availability is ensured to all PeopleSoft Applications.
  • Expertise in Linux/Unix, Oracle DB and scripting languages highly preferred
  • Prior experience with process quality methodology and infrastructure technologies (compute, database, network, etc.) is preferred
  • Strong program management skills including project initiation, scoping, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, risk management and communication
  • Able to coordinate efforts in line with the "bigger picture" to maximize the overall value of project and process initiatives
  • Ability to learn complex systems and business processes and define requirements for solutions
  • Understanding of IM / IT technologies and how to apply them
