Role Summary:
The Director - Digital Operations will be a highly motivated, experienced professional with the ability to lead people in supporting large scale monitoring and automation implementations that drive operational excellence and improved customer experience.

Essential Responsibilities:
In this role you will utilize your technical knowledge, process knowledge, platform management experience and leadership expertise to ensure productivity and process efficiency gains by:

  • Delivery of solutions that drive operational excellence for compute and network monitoring and automation; particular focus on improved customer experience
  • Define strategic direction for delivering contemporary monitoring and automation solutions in alignment with organizational priorities; collaborating closely with other technology organizations
  • Develop complex implementations, ensuring all standards, upgrades are adhered to and are managed within budget and aligned to technology platforms appropriately

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience developing automation implementations in a large production environment, supporting bi-modal IT environments. Experience with private and public cloud technologies
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience transforming large programs with demonstrated leadership ability to deliver

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Demonstrated experience delivering automation capabilities that have transformed operations and customer experience
  • Provide operations leadership of Core Tech automation solutions; collaborative engagement in the planning, evaluation, design, development and implementation of solutions
  • Partner with stakeholders in technologies, service management, operations to evaluate, strategize and improve operational processes/function, focusing on operational excellence and improved customer experience
  • Maintain and apply current knowledge of information technology; keep abreast of new and emerging technologies; make technology, process, and application recommendations that improve staff productivity and enable process efficiency gains
  • Partner with technology platform, design, and development to implement and support monitoring and automation solutions across bi-modal technologies
  • IT process knowledge, large scale project management, software development
    Ability to work with infrastructure support teams, design and development teams and understand technical needs
  • Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities
  • Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
  • Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong positive customer experiences
  • Strong analytical skills – strong problem solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve
  • Change oriented – actively generates process improvements; supports and drives change, and confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways
