Role Summary: The Imaging FP&A Analyst is responsible for providing performance and visibility for the Imaging distribution activities (estimated 2016 Europe revenue: $600MM). The analyst is a key partner for the finance, commercial and operating teams to support and drive the right initiatives, aiming at profit and growth, reporting to the Europe Equipment SSC FP&A manager.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Estimating: Responsible for weekly/monthly estimating process, including the consolidation of financial data from the different regions, the implementation of estimating algorithmic models, the analysis of those estimates & the identification of risks and opportunities.
Closing: Pilot quarterly / yearly accounting closing processes on Orders to CM.
Analysis: Report results, organize quarterly post mortem analyses, develop & propose relevant analyses in-line with the business needs and priorities from the management staff and Commercial Finance manager.
As a business partner for regional HCS executive managers, understand regional and product portfolio dynamics to propose productivity and profitability opportunities on Imaging activities.
Build strong interactions between finance and operational organization: commercial finance, Controllership, S&OP leaders and all other needed teams to adopt Healthcare SOP’s & support LCS business strategies.
Change management: As part of Equipment Europe FP&A Shared Service Center, propose initiatives do drive transformation and standardization of FP&A processes at HCS level.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration and some financial work experience.
Fluent in English and strong PC skills.
Experience working in a Global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
Strong PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications such as Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, Hyperion, etc. Strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (pivot tables, Vlookup, etc)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner
Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP), Corporate Audit Staff (CAS) or graduate of other financial leadership programs
Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance function; able to quickly grasp new ideas
Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others
Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions
