Role Summary: This role will be responsible for early technology engagement with customers at early phase of Subsea production projects in order to increase business opportunities by developing best system solution for Subsea E&P projects. He will be the regional technical focal point and work together with the regional commercial teams to manage customer interaction and drive system solutions.
Essential Responsibilities: • Work closely with customer technology group to build holistic and systematic view of customer needs and technical specification on their Subsea E&P projects to determine project feasibility, overall structure and product interfaces for a strong system offering • Leverage the early customer engagement process to pro-actively set actionable customer strategies in order to maximize future commercial benefits for the customer and Subsea Systems • Take the lead to develop actionable customer project technical engagement strategies by leveraging the early customer engagement process, align it with regional commercial team to build overall customer engagement strategy and plan in order to maximize future commercial benefits for the customer and GE • Coordinate the customer early engagement supports from Subsea global engineering CoEs and regional engineering hubs, responsible to drive the execution and outcome • Develop system level technology solutions to customer projects by consolidating the product/offering across the product companies, influence customer specification development “spec-in” GE products from early development phase. • Provide leadership during the deal review process to ensure that all technical risk points and risk mitigation are properly incorporated in the development of the scope, cost and proposal • Liaise with Sales to manage the customer interaction and communication plans • Be responsible to interpret the customer technical specification within GE Oil&Gas global organization • Coordinate with product management teams and application engineering teams to determine best product application for each opportunity including cross GE product supply • Coordinate with product managers to develop New Product Introduction (NPI) & Product Line Extension (PLE) programs in line with customer requirements • Increase Subsea Systems visibility in the market place through technical presentations to potential customers with a view to performing pre FEED & FEED studies
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor degree above in Mechanical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering equivalent • Minimum 10 years of experience in technical role of Oil & Gas Subsea E&P development • Previous experience in Oil & Gas front end customer engagement • In-depth system knowledge of Subsea oil & gas production process and equipment • Strong inter-personal communication and leadership skills • English fluency
