Role Summary: GE is seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join the Identity Management team. A broad background and passion for building a world-class software engineering practice is a must. Identity Management is a critical component of GE’s global IT operations and is consistently growing with the business.
Design, build, test, and deploy robust and maintainable code individually as well as part of a team.
Quickly take an idea from mockup to proof of concept implementation and present it to stakeholders.
Review and provide input on project requirements, deliverables, and estimates.
Help define and implement best practices for development, build, and deployment.
Troubleshoot system issues, fix bugs, and eliminate regressions.
Keep abreast of new technologies and engineering practices and apply them appropriately.
Participate in all aspects of the software development process, including prototyping, requirements and analysis, custom software development, integrating with internal and external systems, and developing extended functionality for our Sailpoint IdentityIQ platform.
A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and 5+ years of programming experience. OR 10+ Years of programming experience.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with remote employees.
Extensive experience with relational databases and data modeling.
A strong understanding of API design, implementation, and integration.
A strong understanding of automated testing, including unit, functional, and integration testing.
A strong understanding of source control, continuous integration, and deployment automation.
A strong understanding of the unix command line and common unix commands.
Familiarity with user directories such as LDAP, AD, etc.
Familiarity with authentication technologies such as OAuth, SAML, etc.
