Role Summary:
As part of our growing Finance team, you will be an integral team member of our Global Operations Center in Budapest, Hungary. As a Specialist you will be responsible for partnering with one of GE’s global business units, actively participating in the monthly and quarterly close Record-to-Report processes for that entity.

Essential Responsibilities:
The Intercompany Specialist will be responsible to oversee the overall Intercompany processes, to ensure that transactions are duly recorded in the local General Ledger.

Duties include (but are not limited to):
  • Leading the follow up with counterparties around the globe to reconcile items currently pending in the Intercompany Billing System
  • Coordinating with business Finance stakeholders on closing activities and financial reporting routines
  • Developing of standard operating procedures to simplify transactional processes that impact the financial statements
  • Support in various ongoing Intercompany COE process fixing and simplification initiatives

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Solid knowledge of accounting fundamentals: AP/ AR Cash and Expenses
  • Proven analytical skills, and knowledge of MS Office in particular Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Highly motivated: Willing to embrace challenges and passionate to succeed
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Successful applicant will be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under the laws of Hungary

    Desired Characteristics:
  • SAP / Oracle system experience
  • Chartered Accountant / ACCA certificate
  • SSCHU
