Role Summary: As part of our growing Finance team, you will be an integral part of our Global Operations Center in Budapest, Hungary. As an Accountant you will be responsible for partnering with one of GE’s global business units, actively participating in the monthly and quarterly close Record-to-Report process for that entity.
Essential Responsibilities: • Closing various ERP general ledger modules, including sub-ledger management, consolidation and re-valuation • Month-, quarter- and year- end closing activities (balance confirmation, accrual calculation and posting, do revaluation, forex calculation) • Financial analysis of global balance sheet accounts and review of related business processes • Co-ordination with business Finance stakeholders on closing activities and financial reporting routines • Development of standard operating procedures for operational and transactional processes that impact the financial statements, including closing, reporting and analysis. • Participation in transition and simplification activities
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business related field • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English • Good verbal and written communication skills in Italian • Proven analytical skills, numeracy and financial awareness • Highly organized with demonstrated ability to meet commitments within strict deadlines • Strong communication and team-working skills • Minimum computer Literacy: MS Office, particularly Excel. • Successful applicant will be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under the laws of Hungary.
