Role Summary:
The EMEA Renewables Engineering Cost Leader will be responsible for leading Cost out for Engineering, focused on EU Products, working in collaboration with Product Line & Sourcing.

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Be the single point of contact to lead Engineering Cost out initiatives to support Product Cost Road-map in EMEA
  • Coordinate, plan, and execute cost out initiative within Engineering
  • Help translate cost out targets to Systems and COE teams, by component / subsystem
  • Gather cost out ideas and concepts & Assign owners in COEs and Systems to evaluate ideas
  • Determine high impact programs that will move forward to implementation phase & work with cross functional teams to implement selected ideas
  • Assist teams in managing cut-in
  • Work with 3rd party & GE AME, Design teams to develop NPI should cost models
  • Support price / value projects; as necessary

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
    • Solid engineering experience
    • Experience in Wind

      Desired Characteristics:

      • Advanced Degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
      • Experience working cross-functionally between Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Logistics, Product Management, etc.
      • Ability to summarize and communicate complex technical information
      • Strong problem analysis and resolution skills
      • Curiosity, passion for excellence, drive to deliver on-time
