Role Summary: The EMEA Renewables Engineering Cost Leader will be responsible for leading Cost out for Engineering, focused on EU Products, working in collaboration with Product Line & Sourcing.
Be the single point of contact to lead Engineering Cost out initiatives to support Product Cost Road-map in EMEA
Coordinate, plan, and execute cost out initiative within Engineering
Help translate cost out targets to Systems and COE teams, by component / subsystem
Gather cost out ideas and concepts & Assign owners in COEs and Systems to evaluate ideas
Determine high impact programs that will move forward to implementation phase & work with cross functional teams to implement selected ideas
Assist teams in managing cut-in
Work with 3rd party & GE AME, Design teams to develop NPI should cost models
Support price / value projects; as necessary
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
Solid engineering experience
Experience in Wind
Advanced Degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
Experience working cross-functionally between Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Logistics, Product Management, etc.
Ability to summarize and communicate complex technical information
Strong problem analysis and resolution skills
Curiosity, passion for excellence, drive to deliver on-time
