Role Summary: The Implementation Lead- Professional Services will be instrumental in leading multiple projects, initiatives and assignments with broad scope and high impact to the Power Services business. As part of GE’s industrial internet initiative, you will be part of an “entrepreneurial” team that is focused on defining and delivering commercial software and analytics products for power generating customers
Essential Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for the deployment of commercial software & analytics at a customer site. This includes production releases, testing & validation. As focal point for the customer you will deliver solutions in a timely, consistent and accurate manner in relation to queries, escalations, concerns or complaints across operations and services.
Drawing on your excellent communication skills you will partner with internal and external stakeholders to not only effectively deliver and support solutions, but also evaluate current processes to propose and implement changes that are mutually beneficial to both the client and the business.
Your broad technical experience in managing projects related power plants, petrochemical and/or other process related industries would be useful when anticipating the needs of customers by providing practical solutions to achieve customer satisfaction. In addition to this, you will also be responsible for (but not limited to):
• Preparing project plans incorporating service and program management activities to support sales cycle • Developing technology roadmap that reflect the company's operational / application needs. IN addition, deliver the assigned projects on time and within budget • Work closely with Partners/SI’s to deliver offerings to customers • Conduct reviews across all products and services to ensure continuous client focus, commitment and engagement.
Qualifications/Requirements: The successful person would: • Possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or Engineering from a locally or internationally recognized university. • Have a proven track record for leading and managing small projects and would be looking to expand or take the next step in managing multi projects that are wider scope and higher in value • Possess at least 5 to 8 years experience in a client facing service delivery role delivering commercial platforms for industrial business in energy, power or process related markets • Draw on their excellent communication skills, to manage and influence internal and external stakeholders when providing an innovative technology solution which addresses customer's complex business problems.
