Essential Responsibilities: The Human Resources Intern is a key member of the GE Power Human Resources Team. GE Power is at work connecting people and ideas everywhere to create advanced technologies that power a cleaner, more productive world. In this role, you will execute on a variety of HR projects to support a competitive, world-class Manufacturing and Engineering operation. In this role, you will:
Support hiring and recruitment activities; identify innovative recruitment tools via social media and other contemporary channels Collaborate with the HR team on key initiatives to support employee development and positive employee relations Simplify and automate several HR activities/processes to enable more effective HR operations Resolve employee issues in quick and customer-focused manner Drive improvements to employee discipline and job change process Assist on employee events and HR projects as required
Qualifications/Requirements: Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding). Must be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree program. Must submit your application for employment to be considered. Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process. Must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process. Following majors accepted: ILR, HR, or business related major.
