Role Summary: Lead Electrical Engineer is responsible for the providing accurate technical instructions in electrical field to maintain for safe and reliable plant operation.
Essential Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for all maintenance and maintenance management functions related to Electrical field. 2. Plans, schedules, coordinate and execute repairs and overhauls of equipment related to Electrical field. 3. Ensures that all planned, preventive and corrective maintenance activities related to Electrical field are accomplished in a safe, efficient and timely manner. 4. Responsible for the development, implementation, and utilization of the Computerized Maintenance Management System; develops maintenance procedures related to Electrical field. 5. Manage a skilled hourly maintenance workforce in the day-to-day Electrical, maintenance activities by utilizing Subcontractor Workforce. 6. Establish and maintain reporting and records protocols related to Electrical field. 7. Manage the Spare Parts inventory related to Electrical field using CMMS. 8. Direct emergency repairs of plant equipment to Subcontractor Workforce related to Electrical field. 9. Suggest/initiate plant modifications and retrofits. If assigned, oversee and coordinate all plant modifications and retrofit projects related to Electrical field. 10. Ensures compliance with requirements for environmental, health and safety requirements in plant maintenance activities. 11. Support Facility Manager in technical evaluation of candidates during hiring process of Subcontractor’s Workforce, 12. Supports implementation of Log-Out/Tag Out (LOTO) System in accordance with the Contractor’s policies and procedures with the assistance of the Customer. 13. Manages development and implementation of maintenance procedures for major systems using Facility designer’s operation manuals/procedures and equipment Vendors' instructions utilizing the Subcontractor’s Work Force, 14. Prepare purchase specification for sourcing for electrical related matter 15. Duel Role - Support I&C engineer in daily/planned/unplanned activities.
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Graduate Electrical Engineer from an accredited College or University. 2. Minimum 10 years of combined cycle power plant O&M experience in Electrical field or equivalent experience. 3. Minimum 5 years of O&M experience at Alstom G26 Class Gas Turbines in Electrical field or equivalent experience. 4. Strong oral and written communication skills in both Japanese and English
Desired Characteristics: 1. Strong project management, problem solving and organizational skills 2. Strong Electrical skills in BOP 3. Prior experience with GE O&M in same capacity is preferred 4. Knowledge of Alstom products, services, and processes (Former Alstom employees only) 5. Six Sigma training or equivalent quality training 6. Prior customer interface experience 7. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills 8. Proficiency with computer tools 9. Flexibility to work on rotation duty cycles in coordination with Electrical Engineer, Control Engineer, Electrical Engineer and storekeeper. 10. Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time, as required
