Role Summary:
The Junior Officer Leadership Program (JOLP) / Military Officer Transition Initiative (MOTI) is a platform for transitioning high-performing Military Officers into direct hire roles for GE Oil & Gas. In one of these roles, you will draw on your leadership skills, education, and previous experiences as a top-performing, military officer (MO) to solve complex business problems, develop and execute objectives for yourself and for others.

Essential Responsibilities:
The O&G JOLP / MOTI experience will provide you with business experience and exposure to the various core processes, teams and businesses that make up GE Oil & Gas. The successful candidates could be selected for full-time roles in functions or areas such as:

  • Manufacturing Operations
  • Human Resources
  • Quality
  • Project Management
  • Sourcing
  • Material Planning and Management
  • Engineering
  • Product Management
  • Sales and Commercial Operations
  • Junior Officer Leadership Program (JOLP)
  • Military Officer Transition Initiative (MOTI)

    In addition, as a part of the initiative, you will participate in curriculum based training components focusing on leadership, product and financial skills required to be a GE leader.

    You will be expected to hit the ground running, take responsibility for and perform in a challenging role where you will be able to make a real impact on the organization. You will be expected to learn and adapt, to quickly gain situational and organizational awareness in a dynamic business environment and add value in your assigned role.

    The JOLP / MOTI experience will provide you with the tools, mentor-ship and network to accelerate your technical, business and professional development; helping you effectively transition into a successful career with GE.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited academic institution
  • Minimum of 4 additional years of commissioned service

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability and willingness to relocate, as needed

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Technical Degree
  • Deployment and combat leadership experiences
  • Exceptional military career as demonstrated through successful completion of leadership and key developmental assignments
  • Completion of elite military training (Flight, Nuke, Ranger, SEAL, SFQC, etc.)
  • Ability to solve problems, delegate and achieve difficult goals
  • Ability to adapt quickly and eager to learn and master new roles
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Advanced Degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline
