Role Summary: Welding Technicians will be responsible to set up and weld high temperature alloys in the repair and development of turbine engine components using Tungstun Inert Gas (TIG) welding and manual brazing processes in full compliance to the repair manual requirements.
Essential Responsibilities: You key responsibilities within this role will be: - Set up and weld high temperature alloys in the repair and repair development of turbine engine component/using all gas tungsten arc and manual brazing processes and in full compliance to repair manual requirements. - Weld complex jobs as well as daily production work. - Required consistently sitting and passing periodic welders’ proficiency test on GEASO and CAAS test. - Fabricate necessary gas back-up and chilled bars as required to perform efficient weld repair. - Ensure equipment care, housekeeping and control of safety and schedules. - Adhere to all applicable EHS rules and regulations and employee’s EHS responsibilities as per EHS OP 283.00. - Undertake to make a personal commitment to follow the GE code of conduct. Also guiding us in upholding our ethical commitment is a set of GE policies on key integrity issues, we must comply not only with the letter of these policies but also their spirit. - To perform tasks as assigned by Team leaders, Facilitators, Engineers, per operation sheets, SOPs, EIs or instructions. Ensuring that all instructions are complied to and the highest quality requirements are met.
Qualifications/Requirements: - Completion of Secondary Level or equivalent education. - Basic command of spoken and written English - Welding Experience - Knowledge of measuring instrument. - TIG / MIG Welding. - Dabber-tig welding. - Ability to read blue print.
Desired Characteristics: - NTC or equivalent. - NTC (welding). - CAAS approval in welding.
