Role Summary:
As a Senior Web Developer, you will lead projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business and be a recognized expert in a specialized field evolving software that delivers the next era of web software products for GE Smallworld.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead an experienced agile team
• Designing highly complex modules, critical components or a whole application/product in its entirety
• Provide technical consultation on product problems throughout the business
• Drive process improvements, which guide the development, sustaining & support activities.
• Work cross functionally with other business
• Work closely with Business Analysts to understand and scope product requirements & vision
• Engage Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) in the successful transfer of complex domain knowledge and express these complex engineering concepts in code.
• Drive a strong sense of team
• Coach software engineering team sessions on requirements estimation
• Lead a community of practice around Web development

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Significant experience of Front and Back End Web Development.
• Experience with a range of web technologies such as; HTML5 Java, Java Frameworks, CSS, JavaScript etc.
• Proven experience in Agile Software Development
• Demonstrable skills in a complex source code management and defect tracking environment
• Strong leadership skills
• Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering or other degree or equivalent knowledge and experience.
