Role Summary: The Software Technical Writing Specialist will be responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role you will follow an individual work plan and meets day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
Provide technical publications and updates for all new and existing assigned product models using state of the art publication techniques
Troubleshoot and resolve publication discrepancies
Work with industry and customer standards to develop state of the art formats for future publications
Ensure projects are implemented on time with high quality and within budget.
Write, edit, and manage technical documentation in support of business products
Develop illustrations and simulations that show features and functions of the product in documentation
Contribute to the development and edit submissions to the functional and technical design specifications
Support development of product and delivery for software systems
Create user-friendly technical documents that accompany product deliveries
Edit and maintain system documentation including, procedures, requirements and maintenance of hardware, software, network, and security
Work with team members to ensure that specifications / procedures are complete, accurate, and timely
Collaborate with hardware and software developers and engineers in the creation and implementation of this documentation
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or equivalent knowledge/experience).
Prior experience with software application technical writing
Knowledge of S1000D specification and Simplified Technical English
Strong skills and knowledge using Microsoft Office applications, MS Word mastery is required
Good graphics software skills
Ability to manage time and work on multiple projects
