Role Summary:
In this technical Presales position, the Presales Solution Consultant will establish a trusted advisor relationship with both our external customers and internal technical teams. You will collaborate with internal product and engineering teams, Presales technical teams and commercial sales teams in the Digital Mine business unit to help drive sales of our product & service offerings.

Essential Responsibilities:
GE’s Industrial Internet comes to life for the mining industry with Predix. This is an exciting growth business which helps our mining customers increase productivity, throughput & recovery, unlock hidden capacity and improve asset health. Using advanced analytics solutions coupled with monitoring services our customers have proven sustained value over time. The solution consultant will help us to prospect and develop Industrial Internet Advanced Analytics, APM (Asset Performance Management), Process Optimization, Big Data and Cloud Solutions focused on the industrial automation space for the mining segment. The mains responsibilities for this role are:

• Work with Digital Mine Product Managers, marketing, sales, services and support teams to architect and consult on solutions in region. Offer technical advice to support local region with consultative selling and provide analytics support with respects to the implementation of first line support and monitoring (including APM equipment monitoring, advisory and APC Projects)
• Assist with Pre-Feasibility and Value Assessment studies based on information collected in the field, including being the primary pre-sales interface for customer technical & field engineering teams
• Present solutions at customer meetings to support Account Manager
• Actively contribute to the multi-generational product plan managed by the Product Manager to drive competitive and technological differentiation for GE Digital Mine's products & services
• Establish a deep understanding of our customers business and technical needs
• Create a “trusted technical advisor” relationship with our customer’s technologists and internal technical teammates
• Develop frameworks to support solution selling on an enterprise level. Help identify opportunities, problems and solutions across the Mining flow sheet
• Lead change across large platforms / functional areas using technology solutions

• Deep practical Mining industry knowledge, across the Mining flow sheet and equipment
• Background in process analytics in one or more of the following fields: asset monitoring, real-time statistical monitoring, process optimization, Advanced Process Control (e.g. Model Predictive Control), process modeling.
• Strong written and verbal skills, at engineering and staff levels
• Fluent written and verbal communication in Spanish
• Advanced English Communication Skills
• Knowledge of the processes and equipment used in Mining, Minerals & Metals
• • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time

• Technical leadership qualities
• Knowledge of customer needs in the Mining space
• Strong track record of establishing structure in ambiguous situations and working around unknowns
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and change management skills
• Advanced knowledge in advanced monitoring and statistics
• Knowledge of or experience in plant processes and how these are represented by data streams in the Mining industry
• 2+ years experience in information systems
• Willing to work on client sites (mines) as well as in the office
• Willing to do client facing as well as computer based work, including relevant IT work and integration
• Industry experience with engineering and control problems
• Industrial experience with implementing on-line systems
