Role Summary: GE Grid Solutions are currently looking for a Systems Engineer to join their team. In this capacity you will be responsible for design, developing and testing of substation automation Distributed Control System (DCS) & Remote Terminal Unit (RTU).
Essential Responsibilities: In addition to this you will also be responsible for : - Working closely with customers to gather the technical information & requirements of the project - Designing and configuration of substation automation DCS/RTU system - Coordinating and reviewing electrical scheme design are in line with system design and ensure design are according to project requirements and standards - Ensuring quality of system engineering - Engage in periodic reviews with Engineering Manager & Project Manager on project execution to ensure timely delivery of project - Conduct Internal validation, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) - Undertake failure analysis on DCS system and its equipment - To ensure communication Interface signals test between DCS system and various National SCADA control center are carried out - Provide theoretical and practical trainings to customers - Provide technical support to Sales and Tendering teams - Ensure health, safety and environmental requirements are strictly adhered during project execution - Identification of potential risk areas for improvement and provide the necessary feedback
Qualifications/Requirements: To be successful for this role, you would possess: -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university -Previous experience in Electrical power system/Electrical Substation automation is essential -Knowledge and experienced in communication protocols IEC61850, MODBUS, DNP3, IEC 101/104
