Role Summary: The Lean Manufacturing Leader will lead broad scope and cross-functional projects to drive standardization, stability, and simplification in GE Healthcare and key customer facing processes. This includes providing change leadership, such as Change Acceleration Process (CAP), methods and tools across assigned critical initiatives. The Lean Leader will partner with the existing network to provide leadership on the implementation of Lean strategies and processes with long-term business impact
Essential Responsibilities: Manage multiple value streams and projects that deliver significant simplification results while serving as a recognized expert and resource leader for focus areas and process rigor • Develop and execute a lean strategy roadmap for New Product Introductions (NPI) utilizing 3P (Production Preparation Process) methodology to deliver products that meet business/customer expectations for safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost • Proactively connect current manufacturing strategies and initiatives with future technology breakthroughs to simplify design transfers • Partner with the AME team to proactively define, prioritize, and implement product and process improvements for manufacturability early in the NPI/Transfer stages • Effectively coach and mentor all levels of the organization to promote a culture of continuous improvement while working with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization structure • Initiate sustainable process improvements to exceed customer expectations while using lean strategies to drive continuous process improvement • Manage improvement projects including process improvements, material handling, plant layout changes, line design, etc. that meet both internal and external customer expectations • Facilitate Action Workout events, engage and lead project teams, apply 3P Lean Tools (Value stream map, line design methods, process at a glance) • Develop and deliver lean training solutions that support plant/process improvement activities to achieve business results • Drive lean-six sigma manufacturing activities, at a local level, including methods, tools, performance management and strategy deployment to achieve business results • Solve complex technical issues using lean six-sigma methods to develop cost effective solutions that provide long-term sustainability • Self-manage and align changing priorities that deliver on overall business and customer expectations • Actively collaborate in complex decision making with other internal and external subject matter experts
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years of progressive work experience in business environment or High school diploma/GED and 7 years work experience 2. Demonstrated solid performance, leadership and experience in implementing lean projects/principles 3. Proven experience in influencing, leading teams and driving change results orientation 4. Minimum 2 years project management experience 5. Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated facilitation experience 6. Six Sigma Green Belt Training
