Role Summary:

The Senior Staff Technical Program Manager ensures successful, end-to-end delivery of a project or a program through ongoing client engagement, partnering with technical teams internal and external to the initiative, and coordination of all required activities and milestones.

Essential Responsibilities:

This role is involved in projects prioritization and initiation, responsible for definition of and compliance with project management methodologies, performing regular tracking and reporting on progress, and accountable for initiative results verification.

  • Manage the daily activities of an enterprise operations unit
  • Responsible for planning, tracking and directing budgets, KPI’s, goals, and business objectives
  • Responsible for developing and evaluating key strategic growth priorities, developing business cases and financial assessments for new strategic initiatives, and helping to answer the organization’s strategic questions
  • Develop recommendations to achieve the organization’s financial objectives and determine financial consequences of alternative methods, plans and strategies
  • Conduct research and analysis for strategic initiatives utilizing internal and external resources
  • Implement and maintain operating policies to mitigate risk
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Leads and directs the work of others
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Work on ad hoc problems of diverse scope across multiple functions and provide input for corporate-wide strategic initiatives
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals


Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications


  • A four-year degree in Business, MIS, and/or equivalent experience
  • 10 years’ total experience with increasing responsibility
  • 6 years minimum Project Management, Management, Team Lead, or other equivalent leadership experience required
  • 6 year minimum experience with a formal SDLC required
  • 6 year minimum facilitation of cross-functional solution design preferred
  • 6 year minimum experience creating Requirement, Functional Specification, & Test Requirement documents preferred
  • Experience with supporting both purchased and in-house developed applications required


Desired Characteristics:
  • Able to quickly learn, lead others and facilitate in unfamiliar domains
  • Demonstrated experience in proactively identifying opportunities for improving enterprise processes and systems end to end, working with business leaders to prioritize business opportunities
  • Experience researching and delivering solution options using current and future system capabilities, "best practice," and knowledge of successful alternatives used at leading/comparable companies
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments and delegate to others as well as monitor their work for completion
  • Completely self-directed and self-motivated
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on an existing suite of complex applications
  • Promotes adoption of standard business process and system capabilities to reduce complexity and cost
  • Technical writing skills producing clear and unambiguous deliverables
  • Leads team in identifying business readiness and change management considerations
  • Extensive knowledge of key SAP methodologies and governance
  • Ability to recommend appropriate scope of requirements
  • Understand the system development life cycle and can train others on SDLC concepts
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected and typically reports to top management
