Role Summary:
The Statistical Forecasting and Analytics IT Project Manager will work, hands-on, leading the statistical forecasting tools roadmap of Power services business. This will include outage and parts forecasting tools for Power Services CSA, MYA and Transactional business. You will be part of a data science or cross-disciplinary team on development projects, typically involving large, complex data sets.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business on driving and implementing the end state roadmap and enhancements on forecasting tools Exante, Servigistics, Gains and other forecasting tools in the landscape
  • Implement and maintain statistical forecasting tools roadmap in Power Services Landscape
  • Be the Statistical Forecasting subject matter expert for the business
  • Design and Develop PS forecasting algorithm across multiple product lines by meeting with Business, Engineering, Marketing, vendors, and technical staff to identify problems and potential solutions
  • Drive the simplification of statistical forecasting tools across Power Services
  • Provide alignment of the forecasting process with the overall S&OP roadmap
  • Partner with Data science org to develop statistical analytics to improve forecast accuracy
  • Develop analytics to address data science needs and opportunities
  • Translate algorithms into commercially viable products and services
  • Work in technical teams in development, deployment, and application of applied analytics, predictive analytics, and prescriptive analytics
  • Perform exploratory and targeted data analyses using descriptive statistics and other methods
  • Work with data engineers on data quality assessment, data cleansing and data analytics
  • Keep the data aligned with the dynamic processes as the systems are transformed, merged and simplified. Gain an understanding of the systems integrations and relationships to help identify and bridge any gaps.
  • Ensure that the Forecasting application projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to customer specification
  • Identify scope and objectives; identifies deliverables and establishes schedules and timelines; assigns work to the project team members
  • Advise business and management on information technology strategy and technology deployment



Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or Engineering or 4 years of IT technical experience
  • Minimum 5 years of IT professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Software Development Project Management
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
  • Ability and willingness to travel 10%, as required
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Atlanta, GA


Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated skill in the use of one or more analytic software tools or languages (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R, Python)
  • Knowledge of Statistical forecasting principles, operations and resource optimization, principles and practices of database development, data modeling, business intelligence solutions development.
  • Agile software development methodologies
  • Project management software
  • Understanding of system integration strategies
  • Knowledge of Power Services industry and commercial BI knowledge
  • GT, ST, Gen, Aero design knowledge
  • Ability to effectively communicate resource needs and project issues with management and vendors
  • Identify scope and objectives; identifies deliverables and establishes schedules and timelines; assigns work to the project team members
  • ITO, OTR or supply chain process knowledge
  • Familiarity with Predix platform and AWS
  • Demonstrated willingness to work with others in a highly matrixed environment
  • ERP Experience with Oracle EBS or SAP ERP
  • Exposure with Data Lake platform, primarily with / Greenplum.
  • LEAN or Six Sigma Greenbelt certification or equivalent Quality certification
