Essential Responsibilities: Provide leadership to drive growth in business cooperation between GE Renewable & China supplier base. Primary Technical Interface with Suppliers and work closely with various division of GE Renewable on the following: Conduct First Piece Qualification/Pilot qualification Validate the Eng. change implement in Suppliers Drive Continuous Process Improvements (Evaluation & Qualifications) Conduct Product/Process Surveillance Audits with suppliers Lead and verify the Corrective Action implementation for non-conforming materials. Be Communication Interface with Pole/COE/Eng./M&PE/Pole SQE’s Initial Supplier Screening (QS/WP/EHS) Manage Corrective Action Resolution Perform Process Audits (CTQ Review) Establish a structured approach for consistency and adherence to quality procedures and Requirements. Aid in supplier approval process -manufacturing, technology, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) risk analysis. Drive continuous improvement of supplier’s quality, cycle, and delivery performance through Six Sigma. Work closely with GE Renewable Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Engineering to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may affect quality and delivery requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements: BS/MS Mechanical Engineering background preferred 8 years more hands-on experience in supplier development: practical manufacturing (shop floor) exposure and process surveillance. Supplier quality management or supplier technical development experience in the mechanical drive system. Familiar with the machining process, gearbox, wind turbine, and machinery assembly and testing operations. Basic knowledge of quality management system (QMS), ISO9000 certified auditor is preferred Strong analytical and problem solving skills: background in interpretation of blueprints/specifications, metrology, and manufacturing process planning/evaluation. Ability to work in cross-functional, global team environment. Passion for excellence with high integrity Commitment to quality Good communication skill and fluent in oral and written in English,
