Role Summary: The Lynn Quality Leader will drive Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) and culture change in GE Aviation - Lynn Component Manufacturing shops. This role requires a well-seasoned quality individual with deep understanding of manufacturing quality, quality management systems and associated methodologies. The successful candidate should have a proven track record to be able to lead a large highly matrixed team to deliver on business priorities and coach personnel in all quality expectations.
In addition you will:
Lead large quality team to improve manufacturing process capabilities using Lean/Six Sigma and other data driven approaches to reduce escapes, improve Cost of Quality and increase First Time Yield (FTY)
Be an authority in manufacturing drawing interpretation and proficient in developing expertise of other team members in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) used to review engineering drawings and identify non-conforming parts
Provide the highest level of internal and external customer service with regards to quality escapes management
Must drive effective systemic preventive and corrective action with strong leadership skills to hold team accountable
Drive supplier quality management, process control, and root cause/corrective action effectiveness
Must have strong influencing skills to drive change across a large highly matrixed organization and must have proven track record for breaking down barriers to change
Must be a high-energy individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and acts quickly to impact results compliantly
Serve as the site's focal point for quality with internal customers, external customers and 3rd party auditors
Own recruitment, selection, coaching and development for the Quality team
Serve as the site's focal point for Quality with internal customers, headquarters, and auditors
Responsible for driving the execution and closure of quality issues
Act as a change agent, to drive culture changes and increasing ownership of quality
Develop & Execute strategies related to quality assurance and quality control of products, services, systems and manufacturing processes
Drive Supplier Quality Management, Process Control, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Implementation
Lead Productivity Improvement initiatives
Execute strategies related to quality assurance and quality control of products, services, and manufacturing processes
Develop performance targets along with maintaining program metrics
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Production Quality
This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment
