Role Summary: The Power Services Senior Commercial Manager MEA / India, O&M will be part of the Commercial Operations O&M function of Power Services. This position reports to the Power Services Commercial Director O&M.
Essential Responsibilities: • Develops and executes commercial proposals for Operation and Maintenance (O&M) opportunities for opportunities within the regions MEA and India • Owns the risk review process for the assigned O&M proposals. • Builds effective relationships with Global O&M Sales, Region Sales and Commercial Operations teams and supporting functions to ensure commitment, alignment and understanding of deal-specific O&M commercial strategy. • Negotiates and resolves conflicts effectively across all internal and external communities involved in assigned deals. • Ensures optimization of scope/cost in the development of proposals. • Provides input on simplification of commercial process as well as internal interfaces and actively voices concerns. • Actively suggests improvements to commercial tools • Leverages deep product and commercial process expertise to develop deal-specific negotiation strategy • Advises in the development of acceptable risk mitigation strategies on a given transaction. • Supports deal negotiations with a focus on closing orders • Owns hand-over to OTR function after successful order closure
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a Business or Engineering discipline • At least 5 years of sales/commercial experience in the power generation industry • Experience in either O&M or multi-year agreement business • Fluent in written & spoken English • Ability to travel as needed.
Desired Characteristics: • Fluent in written & spoken French or Arabic, • Technical competency in power plants including all balance of plant equipment, ideally on-site experience during inspections and/or unit operation • Demonstrated evidence of commercial transaction negotiations and order closures • Ability to perform effectively in a matrix organization. • Domain expertise in commercializing power plant O&M offerings. • Experience with customer specification review, proposal development and leading a sales effort • Expertise in power generation products and services commercial processes • Demonstrated success in proactively driving process improvement and simplification • Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills
