Role Summary:
The Sr Staff Agile Transformer will provide support to the Power Max Delivery and Design teams by facilitating Agile framework executing principles for delivery efforts within the PowerMax Program. Areas of support will include Agile Planning Tasks (including Release Train Planning, Sprint Planning, and Backlog Grooming), Agile Recurring cadence meetings, beginning and end of phase ceremonies, and Agile progress measurement across multiple scrum teams.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Agile Planning – Responsible for conducting Agile planning events for Release, Sprint Planning, and Backlog Grooming
  • Manage the consolidated backlog and conduct grooming systems
  • Collect and organize scope related to upcoming Release events
  • Collect and organize user stories associated within a release and organize Sprint planning sessions with delivery teams
  • Agile Cadence Meetings - Responsible for the administration and facilitation of the recurring Agile delivery execution meetings including:
  • Daily stand up status calls
  • Scrum of Scrum meetings to facilitate issue escalation
  • Beginning and end of sprint ceremonies
  • Agile Progress Measurement – Responsible for administration of the measurement techniques used in Agile delivery management
  • Measuring delivery team velocity
  • Facilitates and coaches software engineering team sessions on requirements estimation and alternative approaches to team sizing and estimation. Leads a community of practice around estimation to share best practices among teams
  • Producing burn-up/burn down reporting
  • Producing Kanban boards for flow management
  • Effectively coach organizations on effective Agile practices at scale including Agile Portfolio Management and multi-team programs (i.e. SAFe).
  • Be able to coach a program on mapping and managing the complete value stream of a program
  • Certified Scrum Master / Equivalent demonstrated success
  • Experience working in System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) ideally for SAP Projects
  • Exposure to Program/Project management and Governance of cross-functional IT projects
  • Knowledge of and competency with Program/Project management tools & techniques (i.e. MS Project, Smart sheet, JIRA, HP ALM etc.)



Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • Significant technical experience along with established leadership credentials across disciplines and functions within a product OR Master’s degree with significant years of experience OR PhD with some years of experience

  • Evaluates technology to drive features and roadmaps. Maps technology trends to internal vision. Differentiates buzzwords from value proposition. Embraces technology trends that drive excellence beyond traditional practices (e.g., Test automation in lieu of traditional QA practices).
  • Balances value propositions for competing stakeholders. Recommends a well-researched recommendation of buy vs. build solution. Conveys the value proposition for the company by assessing financial risks and gains of decisions and return on investment (ROI). Manages the process of building and maintaining a successful alliance. Understands and successfully applies common analytical techniques, including ROI, SWOT, and Gap analyses. Able to clearly articulate the business drivers relevant to a given initiative.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, thoroughness. Ability to follow instructions but also question inconsistencies and identify areas for improvement
