Role Summary:
The Lead Sourcing Specialist is responsible for APAC chemicals sourcing related works with medium level complexity. In this role you need to setup an individual work plan aligned to priorities of business and direct manager, meet quarterly objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action as well as process improvement.

Essential Responsibilities:
The Lead Sourcing Specialist demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will use your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

1. Setup strategies for assigned commodities, and proactively drive initiatives to meet objectives
2. Identify and qualify new suppliers, especially from India, for APAC and global
3. Deliver on Growth & Cost Out target through negotiation, technical tear down, and support DMP projects
4. Continuously increase use of digital tools and simplify procurement process
5. Assess existing suppliers and manage suppliers to deliver quality products consistently
6. Lead localization and Low-Cost-Country projects
7. Strongly support sales to win new tenders and New Product Introduction
8. Collaborate with vendors and GE account payable team, and work out resolution for payment issues

Qualifications/Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree with major in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college
2. 8 years of hands-on working experience in chemicals sourcing role
3. 3 years working in manager position, preferred in MNC
4. Excellent for English writing and speaking
5. Efficient with SAP etc. ERP system is preferred

4. Microsoft Office and database proficiency
5. High efficiency and capability of working under pressure
