Role Summary:
The Security Leader - IT Controllership will be a first-line or second-line manager within Risk & Compliance who has cross-functional knowledge; possesses in-depth understanding of how the organization contributes to business unit objectives; has the ability to analyze complex data and decision making; uses good negotiation skills.

Essential Responsibilities:

Security Leader - IT Controllership will ensure Sarbanes-Oxley program, Critical Systems initiative and other compliance related initiatives are effectively run.

These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible to create a risk based strategy for validation of Sarbanes-Oxley controls and Critical Systems compliance
  • Performing Sarbanes-Oxley scoping activities
  • Leading meetings with application teams and control owners to drive adherence to Corporate and Power & Water compliance standards
  • Creating and maintaining test of design (TOD) and test of effectiveness (TOE) guidance and templates
  • Ensuring high quality and timely completion of TOD and TOE procedures in accordance with Corporate and Power standards
  • Providing day to day guidance and direction to onshore and offshore teams
  • Maintaining status metrics and provide regular updates
  • Providing content and deliver various status updates for key stakeholders including but not limited to P&L leaders, Corporate and P&L Sarbanes-Oxley application teams and control owners
  • Developing a framework for tracking gaps or issues identified during compliance assessments and / or interviews
  • Ensuring gap information is accurately reflected in the appropriate reporting
  • Guiding and driving remediation activities for issues noted during testing procedures or other assessments
  • Developing a strategy to support application team and control owner self-assessments
  • Ensuring awareness of Corporate policies and relevant effective state
  • Supporting application team and control owner compliance training initiatives
  • Ability to map to ISO 27002 controls related to SOx controls




Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors of Science or Arts Degree in Computer Science, Business or related discipline
  • Significant years experience in compliance, controllership, IT audit, or IT work in a regulated industry



Desired Characteristics:

  • Public Accounting experience with “Big 4” public accounting firm
  • Previous experience in the IT Compliance or Security Fields
  • COBIT Framework knowledge or Sarbanes-Oxley experience
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership, influencing and team building skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective client relationships
  • Working knowledge of current technologies
  • Experience developing and executing project plans
  • Strong data analysis skills including the ability to design and deploy analytics using Microsoft Excel, Access and or other tools
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor or Certified Public Accountant
