Role Summary: As part of the global operations & strategy team, you will help lead sessions with customers and partners focused on delivering thought leadership content around digital transformation and articulating the digital strategy for Oil & Gas.
Essential Responsibilities: As our new Director - Digital Operations - Strategic Engagements, you will:
Collaborate with customers and partners in an effort to drive successful outcomes and commercial momentum via executive briefings.
Partner with GE Digital in setting up global foundries with content rich demos and IoT showcases for Oil & Gas.
Research, procure, and implement new tools, technologies, and processes to drive operational efficiencies and ensure a rich, rewarding experience of customers and partners visits to the foundries.
Develop a deep understanding for what creates a world class experience in foundries for Oil & Gas customers and work to drive process improvements and curating of Oil & Gas specific content.
Partner with GED and GE Oil & Gas Digital commercial teams to establish an appropriate set of metrics that measures success and utilization of foundries.
Create cross-functional engagement plans that build meaningful, strategic relationships that lead to further engagements and encourage advocacy while increasing customer loyalty.
Work closely with GE business executives, product management, customer success, sales, and with external customers to ensure standard, repeatable operating models are in place for use of executive briefing centers, foundries, and dojos.
Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications
BA or BS in business, engineering, or finance from an accredited university.
7+ years of experience in consulting, business development, services, or pre-sales role within digital related industry

Must be willing to work out of an office locate in San Ramon, CA
Must be willing to travel (up to 25% of the time)
MBA degree (or equivalent)
Experience executing complex strategic initiatives focused on technology, software, and digital industrial business
Experience with business strategy, corporate development, M&A, and technology business model transformation
Significant experience with business planning, market analysis, and financial planning
Superior business sense, problem solving, project management and analytical skills
Ability to work effectively across industries, cultures, and company structures
Excellent communication and presentation skills; dynamic (persuasive) in presenting ideas to clients and prospective clients from VP to C-level; comfortable being able to quickly join the client leadership team and immediately add value
Self-starter who can work in a rapidly changing environment, tolerate ambiguity and demonstrate problem-solving leadership with limited direction
Expert knowledge of business model evaluation.
Strong interpersonal skills as a team leader and team player with experience managing and training other consultants a plus
Deep understanding of the Oil & Gas value chain and customer economics
Experience working in high tech or software based companies
The ideal candidate for this role possesses skills as a seasoned innovation and engagement leader with a breadth of skill sets including consulting, strategic planning, marketing and product management and has a good understanding of Big Data, SaaS as well as cloud and on premise software solutions.
Seasoned professional with a breadth of skill sets including sales, business development, facilitation, and consulting.
Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and details.
Ability to work under pressure and under tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and without supervision.
Excellent facilitation, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in product innovation and prior role leading a technology incubator/accelerator.
Experience managing C level strategic relationships and strategic customer engagement programs.
Experience in developing and executing to business and operating models for innovation centers and customer strategic engagement programs.
Experience with Design Thinking and customer centric product development and how to engage the customer as a participant in the development processs.
Worked in large/complex software/software service applications and lean software startup
Must have a "change agent" attitude; constantly pushing us and our customers to new opportunities, approaches, ideas, perspectives, etc
Software, Internet, and/or mobile development background a plus
Strong understanding of user research, and user-centered design principles
Comfortable solving problems through a hypothesis driven approach using a combination of top-down and bottom-up analysis
Must possess rigorous analytical disciplined approach as well as dynamic, abstract problem solving skills (get to the answer via both "inspiration" and "perspiration")
Demonstrated success driving organizational change within organizations – past experience in process design and optimization, and team dynamics a strong plus
Interact effectively with all levels of the organization demonstrating strong leadership abilities
