Role Summary: The Sales Specialist is responsible to sell our Masoneilan control valves and Consolidated safety relief valves to the various industries in Japan such as oil & gas, power generation industries, refinery, petrochemical, chemical, metallurgy.
Essential Responsibilities: • Achieves and exceeds the quarterly and yearly sales bookings goals • Develops new potential accounts/customers and grow business volume within existing customers • Directly or in collaboration with other company resources leads and executes sales processes to obtain orders (identify and qualify sales opportunities, assists in proposal preparation or directly prepares proposals for customers, presents proposals and contracts to customers, negotiates and closes orders) • Identifies, appoints and manages local channel partners (service and maintenance companies, distributors, value added resellers) in the various strategic regions of Japan • Collaborates with other GE P&Ls to increase market penetration • Establishes, develops and maintains frequent contacts with selected accounts through visits, telephone calls and correspondence • Builds effective business relationships with selected accounts through understanding their organization, developing a business relation with senior management, identifying key decision makers and understanding their business, strategy, goals and directions • Develops sales strategy for key opportunities and account development plan for key accounts • Reports any information related to market trends, pricing and competition • Regularly utilizes sales and customer relationship management tools e.g. SFDC and optimizes own activities by using these tools • Consults with other functions on issues like pricing, product or solution specification to ensure that company provide the appropriate quality, business and technical solution to the customer need • Participates in exhibitions, seminars and other marketing activities to identify new sales leads and assures proper follow-up • Meets all the GE Integrity policies in every business activity
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college – preferably Mechanical or Process Engineering • Minimum 4 years of experience in selling control valves and/or safety relief valves to the Energy, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and/or Power Generation segments. • Evidence of successful sales experience on industry related products. • A highly motivated "self-starter" who is goal oriented • Ability to work in a distributed, pan-European sales structure. • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
